Then… a quick Canadian break with my daughter Izzy

In between the Pacific Crest Trail and the start of my cycling adventure there was time to spend a lovely week with my daughter Isabel, who just graduated with a first from the University of Royal Holloway (London). Since I missed her actual graduation ceremony, we instead had some wonderful days in Canada visiting the amazing cities of Victoria BC and Vancouver BC. It was fabulous. We even found time to do some more unorthodox cycling!

First – the small matter of the PCT

I actually came to the US to walk the Washington section of the Pacific Crest Trail. That took 31 days starting on 25 June and was possibly the toughest physical thing I have ever done. I will be publishing an article about that and I will provide links when it goes live. Here are a couple of pictures. Watch this space for updates…

It also means I have hardly any time to update this site. So, for now, bear with me please. No pun intended.
